one of the hardest parts of losing your mother is that only marmie hugs can make certain sadness go away.

the teachers at my moms school have been really great. everyday they stop by with something special for marmie. she has stacks and stacks of cards made by elementary students. the kids are really sweet. some of these cards are REALLY funny.

Friday night we got together for a shaving cream game of capture the flag. Johnathan dislocated his shoulder and had to go to the hospital, Jimmy lost his wedding band in the ocean, and Deanna nearly got an ear infection from too much frosting lodged deep inside her ear...
